A piece of needlework has gone on display in one of the region's churches.
Thirsk Town Council handed over Thirsk Parish Map to go on permanent display in St Mary's Church.
The map is nearly 20ft and is in the south aisle of the church, in Kirkgate.
The Reverend Richard Rowling said: "It is a beautiful piece of work which looks as if had been designed specially for its new location."
The map is made up of four panels of textile work and was created between 1987 and 1989.
It was made by nearly 300 people from clubs and societies in Thirsk, Sowerby, Carlton Miniott and South Kilvington.
The map can be viewed daily between 10am and 4pm.
