Artists draw inspiration from surroundings for exhibition

TWO County Durham artists have joined together to show their work to the public in a three-week exhibition.

Kim Graham, of Spennymoor, and Tom Rowan, from Esh Winning, will open the display - called Within and Without - on Monday.

Mr Rowan's collection of watercolours have been inspired by views of the Deerness Valley while Mrs Graham's imagination has been fired up by the interior designs of Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle.

The pair met while studying fine art at Northumbria University and have often exhibited paintings together.

Their latest work will be on display at Bishop Auckland Town Hall until Saturday, January 28.

The Town Hall is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. For more information, contact (01388) 602610.
