HEATLEY Dennis George Dennis died of cancer in his home in Douglas, Alaska, September 2, aged 57, dearly loved husband of Myra and brother to Michael, brother-in-law to Jill, David, Amy, Douglas, Jerry and Judy, son-in-law of Charles and Doretta and uncle to Gabriel and Helana and great friend to many. Born in Darlington he was a welder and pipe fitter working all over the world. First visiting Alaska in 1988, he met and fell in love with Myra and made it his home. Sadly he never got to retire to the log home he was building. A passionate traveller he also loved to fish, hunt and fly and had a private pilots licence. A loving and generous spirit with an incredible zest for life he lived large and laughed often and will be solely missed.
