My cat has had an on going problem with his left eye for over 8 months. It is from an injury some time ago. We have been taking him to the vet for all this time. It gets a little better , then worse again. The vet scraped his eye and sent a sample off to the lab June 14th. The results were that he had a bacteria on his eye and they are calling it pseudomonas. We have been giving chloramphenicol in his eye twice a day as the vet suggested. Again it got better a bit, then after 3 weeks of no medication, it got worse. So he is back on the same eye drops. I really feel he needs something else. I should mention, prior to giving chloramphenicol, I tried varios homeopathic remedies, Even the vet said she has not seen this bacterial problem in any other cats. I do hope you can help.

I would suggest that you see a specialist ophthalmic vet. It may not be possible to save the eye so the kindest thing may be to have the eye removed.
