My cat was shot with an air rifle which destroyed his bile duct, so his gallbladder was moved and stiched onto his intestine. He can only have low fat food as he cant digest properly and is prone to liver infections. At the moment I am feeding him chicken or fish everyday, he wont eat AD liver food. Is there anything else low fat I could give him? I would be so gratful for any advice as Im so worried about him getting bored of his food.

Companies such as the one whose food you are using, advocate that cats and dogs are fed the same diet (more or less) through life. this avoids probelms. Certainally if you look at the ingredients on the tins, there is not simply one ingredient, but a whole host of them! If your pet, after the terrible injury, can live well on the diet you describe, then keep going! a long life with few problems is better than a shorter one with problems? Also, if you tried other diets, and moggie beacme ill, you would probaly blame yourself? And, yes, there are tother diets-from the same company, so check it out with your vet!
