I visited the vets today as the guinea pig had an eye infection. On examination the vet found two large lumps which he said may be tumours or cysts he said she was very thin and was loosing her hair. We would like to know what you think the best course of action would be as her my daughter is very upset but we would all like to do the best thing possible. Many thanks.

Dear Mrs Grant,
Often cysts on eyelids are called tumours-to be pedantic, any growth not normal to that part of the body could be termed a tumour-but not always malignant. So, soothing therapy, such as the drops prescibed, are often all that is needed. Leave it to your vet, the problem is apparently under control!
Best Wishes
