Rabbit death
conjures up non-allergy tears for Ian

magician who is allergic to rabbits has been reduced to tears again
- after his fluffy pet went to the great warren in the sky.
Ian Wragg usually only cries when he picks up rabbits while performing
his magic show.
But his eyes are watering again after the rabbit he used in his act,
Homer, caught an infection and died.
Ian, 29, who lives in Hargreave Terrace, Darlington, has bought another
rabbit to ensure the show goes on.
He has named it Ali G - because of the allergic reaction he gets when
he picks up rabbits. The animals' fur makes his eyes water, causes
sneezing and, on extreme occasions, causes his face to swell.
 "I
had Homer for two years and, although he caused me lots of tears in
my show, I was sad to see him go," he said.
"He died quite young for a rabbit and was very popular with the
children."
Ian, who became the centre of media attention after The Northern Echo
revealed his rabbit allergy, is now training Ali G for his show.
"My girlfriend came up with the name of Ali G because of my allergy
to rabbits and I thought it was very apt," he said. "I am
now getting him used to being handled and taken out of the box, and
my fingers are crossed that he will be just as good as Homer.
"Sadly, my allergy is just as bad with Ali G and I'm afraid I
am going have to continue suffering for my art."
Ian started his business, Ian Wragg Entertainments, when he was 18
after receiving a £1,000 grant from Darlington Borough Council.
He now performs as a magician/entertainer at children's parties and
social functions across the area.
