TWO pining pooches are looking for love as Valentine's Day gets ever closer.
Billy, a one-year-old crossbreed, and Leah, a six-year-old Collie, have found friendship at the Rehoming Centre in Sadberge, near Darlington.
But staff at the Dogs Trust Darlington hope that new homes can be found for the pair.
Sue Embleton, rehoming centre manager, said: "Both Billy and Leah are such wonderful dogs - they have formed a lovely friendship here and we really hope that we can find them both their own perfect new homes this Valentine's Day."
She said Billy is shy, slightly scruffy, and loves playing with his ball.
Leah loves people, and especially enjoys getting cuddles, but can be wary of new people and needs time to build trust.
She needs a home with owners who have experience of owning dogs. She could be homed with other dogs but is best suited to owners without children.
